Spiced Roots (“we”, “us”) is a restaurant and rum bar based at 64 Cowley Road, Oxford, OX4 1JB. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why, and how it’s handled.

Newsletter sign-up: if you join our mailing list, we collect your email address and store it with our email provider, Brevo, so we can send you offers and updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.

Event photo sign-up: if you sign up to receive photos from an event, we collect your name, email address and the event you attended. We use them to email you a code to view your photos on our website, and your email address is also added to our mailing list with Brevo (unsubscribe at any time).

Enquiry forms: if you send us an enquiry (private dining, rum tastings, events), we collect your name, email, phone number (if given), preferred date (if given) and message. This is sent directly to our inbox via our email provider, Resend, solely to respond to your enquiry.

We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

This site embeds a Google Map on our Location page, which may set cookies from Google in line with their own privacy policy. With your consent, given via the cookie banner, we also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer. We don’t use any advertising cookies.

Links to book a table or order food (TheFork, Deliveroo, Just Eat, Uber Eats, Flipdish) take you to those companies’ own websites, each with their own privacy policy — we don’t receive or store any data from those services.

Under UK GDPR, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you at any time. To do so, or with any other privacy question, contact us at family@spicedroots.com.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
